Loch Tay Area

A short walk through the hotel grounds leads to the waters edge where you can savour the peaceful shoreline of Loch Tay and the majesty of the mountains beyond.

Loch Tay , Perthshire’s largest loch, is nearly fifteen miles in length with an average width of about a mile. It is slightly 'S' shaped and lies between the villages of: Killin on the West, Kenmore on the East, Lawers to the North and Ardeonaig to the South.

Opposite Ardeonaig stands mighty Ben Lawers, Perthshire's highest and most fascinating mountain, home to possibly the finest selection of alpine flowers in Scotland. You needn't climb it to find out more, just visit the visitor centre and nature trail at its base.

There is certainly plenty to see and do around and about the Loch Tay area: country pursuits, walks, climbs, cycles, castles, kayaking, sailing, rafting, museums, Highland Games, golf, distilleries, pubs, wild life, gardens….it’s quite a list.
