Ben Lawers View Cottage - Ardtalnaig Estate
Ben Lawers Cottage sits high above Loch Tay on the Ardtalnaig Estate, 7 miles west of the picturesque village of Kenmore, in the very heart of Highland Perthshire. This is some of the best self-catering accommodation for people looking for that ultra-comfy getaway. This is short-break heaven! We don’t do Saturday turnaround, so come for a romantic weekend or a mid-week break, relax and stay as long as you like.
This is a magical place - all light, changing weather, ancient trees and huge views. Below, Loch Tay is entrancing with its ever changing moods. Opposite, Ben Lawers presides over the local area with majestical beauty. We have over eight thousand acres of private estate, with old orchards, scenic mountains, heather moorland, and of course the loch to explore. This is a magical place where dreams are born, love rekindled and friendships strengthened.
Highland Perthshire is known as Big Tree Country. It's true: you can see Europe's oldest tree at Fortingall, birthplace of Pontius Pilate (the tree's older), and the UK's tallest at the Hermitage, Dunkeld. There are some lovely private and public gardens to visit, and an endless list of other places of interest or beauty or both - try the Pass of Killiecrankie, for example, or the Scottish Crannog Centre, just down the road. In every direction there are walks and views to remember for the rest of your life.
Ardtalnaig Estate is also on your doorstep and we are able to offer guests guided walks, photographic stalking, off-road cycling and country sports. Should you wish to take advantage of these activities please click here for more information.
Stay here for a week and you'll still only scratch the surface of all the things there are to do. But if all this activity is not for you, then you can make a picnic, saunter down to the loch and just relax. |
